If you get this error:

An error (gnu.xml.dom.ls.DomLSException: duplicate attribute: “version”) occurred reading the device registry. Please consult the error log for more information.

Open /etc/eclipse/java_home file. Put this /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun at the first line if this line is not the first. And try again. But restart the Eclipse after changing. I found this hint at here.

Installation steps:

  • J2SE SDK, run and follow the instructions.
  • Eclipse, just extract the eclipse-SDK….zip file.
  • J2ME Wireless Toolkit, run and follow the instructions.
  • Eclipse J2ME Plug-In for installation, run Eclipse. From the “Eclipse Help” menu, select “Software Updates…”. Press the “Add Site…” button. You will see the “Add Site” dialog. Select the “ZIP” file and press “Open” button. And then press “OK” button. And press the “Install” button. And follow the instructions.

From the Eclipse “Window” menu, select “Preferences”. And then select J2ME. Find the “WTK Root:” press the “Browse”.
Find the “Wireless Toolkit” directory. Such as “C:\WTK2.5.2_01″. Apply.

Sample J2ME screen keyboard code. No this is not sample touchscreen. This program works with joystick. I written this for one of my friends. Her phone’s keypad’s some keys does not work. And I did a gift. Also you too. :) There are only capital letters, numbers and some chars. There is a text field, she will write to this text field and copy the text. :D
